Our homes are made with better floors, we use 19mm treated ply through out the entire house (far superior to the weetbix type). For the ceilings, we use a 18mm compressed timber sheet for this, it creates a very flat ceiling, and a very stiff diaphragm for the building claddings, we will use whatever type you like more nails, screws, straps for strength and durability.
