Straight Distributor Vacuum Advance Pipe. The standard vacuum advance distributor is attached to the carb/manifold by a small rubber joint which in turn is attached to a metal line that fits the distributor. If the small rubber pipe connector goes bad it can allow a vacuum leak into the carb and prevent the advance from working properly.
